UK's Fulham loans Etheridge to Charlton club

MANILA, Philippines – Philippine Azkals goalkeeper Neil Etheridge, who plays for UK’s Fulham, was loaned to Charlton Athletic Football Club.

Etheridge confirmed the report on his official Twitter account.

“Signed on loan to Charlton,” he said.

He will be playing for Charlton for a month.

Charlton, also known as "The Addicks," is one of the clubs in England’s Football League, the oldest of all competitions in world football.

Etheridge is one of the well known Filipino-British players who suited up for the Azkals.

He, however, won’t be able to join the Azkals in the Challenge Cup qualifier versus Mongolia on March 15 because of his duties to Fulham.

Eduard Sacapaño will be taking his place in the upcoming game, which will take place in Ulan Bator.
